Rang-o-Noor (BY SA'DI)

(Shumara: 657)

Allah's blessings be on our Holy Prophet ﷺ. The case of sketches is a burning issue. May Allah, His angels and all His creatures' curse be on those who publish hateful sketches. Those who draw sketches are liable to be accursed and slain. Slaying them is an accepted elevation, a source of absolution and a special source of gaining nearness with Allah. I feel myself much helpless in this regard as I neither find the courage to watch those sketches nor have the power to write about them. I humbly request the Muslims of the world not to watch those sketches, nor spread them nor consider it an ordinary crime nor to talk much about it. Ignite the fire of revenge in your heart and slay those who draw sketches wherever you find them and cause maximum harm to them if you can, telling the world that we cannot tolerate insolence to the Holy Prophetﷺ. If we have to fight the whole world and get killed, we shall do so in order to wipe out this insolence. We will set fire to the whole world if we have to. Atom bombs and planes are signs of fear for those who want to remain alive. No Muslim can have the yearning to live tolerating insolence to the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Then why to fear? You are people of our age. Come and talk to us. Why do you try to raise hands at our Holy Prophet ﷺ? If you direct your unholy filthy hands to the Holy Prophet ﷺ, you will die a death worse than dog. You cannot face us in the field. Your soldiers put on pampers and get lost in filth. Do not deem your houses and cities safe. The wrath of the Ummah of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ will burn you from under every piece of stone.
Become Muslims, O Muslims! Break every link with those insolent oppressors and blow up their minds along with their skulls. If someone calls our points a message of hatred, terrorism and extremism, let him say because we are noting without our link with Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ. How delightful it will be to die for the sanctity of prophethood! All our sins will be written off. We will gain so high position of Shahaadat that thousands of lives will be nothing in comparison. O Muslims, nothing will be done by making a noise. Raise tumult in the houses of the enemies. No use censuring. Such a heinous crime cannot be washed away with censure. It is a bugle of war from them. Counter war with war. You are the Ummah of the Prophet ﷺ who would himself wage Jihaad. Do not call yourselves Mujaahid sitting at homes nor make the enemy laugh at you.
May all the enemies be killed one by one. Then no one will dare commit this crime. O Allah, bless us all with true faith and mad-love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ, make us practical Mujaahid, grant us with the power and capacity to fulfil the requirements of mad-love, protect us against the Dajjaalli sedition of the time i.e. social media, grant us with the power to wipe out the enemy, remove the fear, awe of the creature and love for the world from our hearts, make us lovers of Shahaadat and put us to the tasks of Din! آمین یا ارحم الراحمین...
Hazrat Mas'ood is Really Lucky: These days, the name of Pakpattan is on the hot list. The saint whose shrine is there is really Mas'ood. His parents named him Mas'ood and Allah really made him Mas'ood which means fortunate and lucky and collection of good luck otherwise everyone named Mas'ood cannot be lucky. His title was Farid-ud-Din and his alias was "Ganj Shakr." He was one of the sincere, loyal and dear slaves of Allah. He was the lover and follower of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. He was the third big pillar of the school of Chistia and a crown for the saints. He was the embodiment of knowledge, good deeds, sincerity, devotion and preaching. When I thought over his life and sayings, I inferred that he was one of the secrets and signs of Allah. My initial acquaintance with him was through the book of my teacher and spiritual guide Hazrat Mufti Wali Hazsan Tonaki who wrote a book on the saints of the subcontinent which is very rare. I worked on it so that it might be republished but to no avail. Then on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, when I read the name of Pakpattan again and again, I was attracted to Hazrat Baba Farid-ud-Din Mas'ood Ganj Shakr. Reading his life from different sources, I came to know that a book containing his sayings had been published which was written by Hazrat Nizaam-ud-Din Aulia who was his successor and fourth pillar of the Chistia school of thought. It has been translated into Urdu. I got it after a great struggle. Its name is "Raahat-ul-Quloob" containing 125 pages. I studied a little last night and completed this night. Allah be praised, I reaped great benefit. I don't persuade you to study the book because, firstly the book is not available; secondly, it is not in everyone's powers to grasp points of the saints. They say much as can't be judged at the scale of judgment. Then discussions start and the unwise people begin to pass remarks about these saints as an unlettered person took Hazrat Hajveri's book in his hand and began to make ignorant attacks on him through internet. He came to so great insolence that he began to cry at the name of Hazrat Ba Yazeed Bastaami that he was Abu Yazeed and that how can a person with the word Yazeed with his name be a saint? Whereas so many Sahaabah had the name Yazeed. Thirdly, there are so many Arabic writings and calligraphical mistakes in "Raahat-ul-Quloob". The people unfamiliar with Arabic can make mistakes. Fourthly, so many points of the saints concern their intuition and taste and there are mistakes in copying them. So only the learned individuals can be persuaded to study this book. In short, it is a priceless book. Its reading arises a sea of light in the heart. That's why; when I started this book this night, I completed it instantly.
May Allah raise Hazrat Baba Farid-ud-Din in degrees and bless him with good reward from this Ummah! May Allah grant those who claim link with him and try to occupy his seat with the capacity to follow in his footsteps! All that is done there these days has no concern with his teachings. That's why; I say, "He was one of Allah's secrets. If only a secretary from monastery arises and links the people with true Baba Farid; the Baba who was torch-bearer of Monotheism and Sunnah, uninclined to the world, an example in worship and devotion, a beacon of light for recognition of Allah, a follower of Hazrat Imaam Abu Hanifah, a mad-lover of the Messengerﷺ and his Sunnah and steepd in the sense of honour of Hazrat Umar.
Allah had blessed him with long age, tourism of the world and link with saints of the world. He was born in Sha'baan and died in Muharram. The year of his birth is 589 AH, 1173 AC and that of demise is 666 AH and 1265 AC i.e. nearly seven hundred and seventy-five years ago. (There are other sayings about his date of death.) He was born in Multan. That's why; Suraiki couplets are found in his poetry. He died in Pakpattan. His Punjabi poetry is very popular. He travelled to Afghanistan and middle East to get religious knowledge. Arabic, Persian and Sanskrit words are best fit in his poetry. He got inspiration from big saints of his time and at last he pledged oath of allegiance at the hands of Hazrat Qutb-ud-Din Bakhtiar Kaaki. He was made head of the Chishtia school of thought afterwards. According to many historians, his lineage links with Hazrat Umar.
Peace of Hearts: The name of collection of his sayings is "Raahat-ul-Quloob." Those sayings are really peace of hearts. When our hearts are entangled in the world, posts, positions and wishes, they are deprived of peace. When love for Allah and anxiety for the Hereafter is created in them, that peace for minds returns. His sayings are in the form of sittings. Hazrat Nizaam-ud-Din Aulia starts every sitting with its date and name of the participants and ends every sitting with the words "Then there was call of Azaan. He got busy with Salaat and the people arose from there." All the sayings give the lesson of establishing Salaat. He writes about sittings in Ramazaan. After this, he said, "It is month of Ramazaan. I shall complete one Quran daily in Taraavih. Can anyone accompany me?" All the participants resolved to participate in it happily. Then he would complete two Quran in one night. He would recite ten Paaras in every Raka't and completed it near the end of night." (P;101)
Then he writes, "The man who does not take care of the following four points (1) Zakat (2) Sadaqah and sacrifice (3) Salaat (4) Supplication, Allah deprives him of four good. Amplitude is removed due to non-payment of Zakat, health begins to break down due to non-payment of Sadaqah, faith is snatched away at the time of death due to forsaking Salaat and supplication is not granted. (P:125)
Actual Topic of Raahat-ul-Quloob: The actual topic of this book is censure of love for the world and wealth and anxiety to get rid of it. He states that he was offered estates and lands but he declined warning his followers not to go near the wealthy and the kings. He created fondness for death in them as "Prepare for union with Allah and do not be negligent of Allah." In his final sitting, he stated the incident of the demise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and fell unconscious while weeping. Recovering his senses, he said to Hazrat Khawajah Nizaam-ud-Din, "When the man for whom all the universe was created was not left in the world, who are we to claim life. So we also include ourselves in those who departed but anxiety for the provisions is essential. Time should not be wasted in negligence and conversation so that we may not feel ashamed on the Day of Judgement." (P:174)
Note his words about worldliness:
(1) Mendicancy is a name of concealing secrets and robbing in the job of the person who conceals secrets of the Muslims and other humans and does not expose them to others. Spend the worldly wealth in the way of Allah in good uses not keeping eye at even of its one particle. (P:56)
(2) Allah's saints say that whoever forsakes the world, overcomes it and whoever takes it up, is ruined. There is no curtain bigger than the world between Allah and the slave. As much a man is indulged in the world, as much he goes away truth.
(3) The mendicant who remains busy with the world demanding posts and positions, be aware, he is not a saint because mendicancy is the name of avoiding the world. (P:61)
(4) As much you avoid wealthy people, as much you will go near Allah as love for the matter is deep-rooted in the hearts of the rich, their company causes loss. (P:67)
The Most Important: I hope, you will be feeling peace of mind by studying "Raahat-ul-Quloob." While reading, I highlighted many points to write in this column but the article has become lengthy so I am constrained to overlook those points. I may discuss three important points in the end:
(1) Ahl-e- Sunnah and Jama'at: He says, "The man who does not lead his followers to the law of Ahl-e-Sunnah and Jama'at, does not keep himself according to Allah's Book and Sunnah of the Messengerﷺ. He is a robber. Fire is traced due to smoke and the spiritual Guide due to his disciple. The cause of deviation of dozens of people is that their spiritual guide is not perfect." (P:77)
It becomes known that only the Sect Ahl-e-Sunnah and Jama'at is surety of success and persuasion of people to it is not sectarianism but persuasion to truth. Those who love Hazrat Baba should take care of it otherwise their claim for love will be only verbosity.
(2) Only Islam, Only Islam: He makes truth and persuasion to Islam his topic in all his sayings. He stresses the Muslims to remember the lineage of their religion which is Islam. Of all the four leaders, he prefers Hazrat Imaam Abu Hanifah. This same is the article of the book from page 132–134. The people of Sikh religion who include Hazrat Baba's couplets in their "Gorbaani" and call themselves his followers should understand and accept his persuasion. If he had regarded all the religions in the right, so many non-Muslims would not have embraced Islam at his hand.
(3) Long Live Fedai Mujaahid: Hazrat Nizaam-ud-Din Aulia writes that then discussion on Allah's Grandeur started. (Hazrat Baba Farid) said, "Allah is the Greatest of all. When the whole world knows, why is it deprived of it and why does it not spend life in meditation and Zikr?" Then he said, "There are Allah's slaves who sacrifice their wealth in Allah's name." (P:121)
Note please how a saint of Allah persuades to sacrifice life and properly in the way of Allah. If some people are acting upon his words, they are Fedai Mujaahideen and these lucky slaves will wipe out those who draw sketches.
