FEAR ALLAH WITH REGARD TO PRAYER

May Allah be kind to the Muslims! O the slaves of Allah, can a Muslim be the non- worshipper! (The one who does not establish prayer) or (non-establisher of prayer)? Lo! See! The bazaars are full but the Masjid is shedding tears. O Allah, our eyes are observing all this. The call for prayer has been given but the Muslims are not coming out for prayer. How can it be! The situation is growing very worse. The Muslim lords and officers are hindering their servants and employees from prayers lest their business should be disturbed. The people running schools are hindering the students from prayers lest their education should be disturbed. Curse be on such business education! Giving up prayer is infidelity. O yes, practical infidelity. Even Hypocrites had to come to establish prayers in the life time of the Holy Prophet because no one's claim of being a Muslim can be accepted without prayer. Hazrat Abdullah bin Shafiq, a famous follower of the Sahaabah , says that the Sahaabah used to regard forsaking prayer as infidelity.

Then what is all this? The rulers are non-establishers of prayers but have very high claims of Islam. The leaders, the guides, the soldiers, and the policemen are the non-establishers of prayers still they fancy that they belong to a very high progeny. Azaan is called, but the officer does break up his meeting even after listening to it. Mr. Parvez would intentionally continue the meetings at the time of the Friday prayer. O my Lord, so great disgrace of so grand pillar of Islam! The Holy Quran tells us that the Satan wants to hinder you from prayer. O yes, the Satan and his disciples either humans or jinns all hinder people from prayers because they know that man is blessed with Belief through prayer and paradise and success is granted through Belief whereas the mission of the Satan is that man may be unsuccessful and may ruin. O the slaves of Allah, the Satan is doing his duty very efficiently in hindering people from prayer. That oppressor does not get tired even at so old age. He does not take rest even after spreading his work so much. Then why do the slaves of Allah not strive to work for Din? Why do they get tired so soon? Lo, observe, how rapidly infidelity and apostasy are spreading in the Ummah of the Holy Prophet ! Is there any one to weep and mourn at this pathetic situation? O the slaves of Allah, when there is no prayer, for how many days will Belief remain safe? How can a building without pillars and body without head can exist? The non-establisher of prayer falls very easy prey to infidelity. May Allah pardon! May Allah protect! The heart of the non-establisher of prayers grows greedier and crueller than that of a beast. The non-establishers of prayer call themselves Muslims but make fun of Islam very pitilessly, kill the Muslims and commit sins openly. O the slaves of Allah, if you are to save this Ummah, you will have to make it establish prayers otherwise you will not distinguish between your well-wisher and the agent of the enemy. If the ladies of today get resplendence of prayers, the situation of the Muslims will change otherwise these ignorant and greedy women will drag every act of infidelity to our doors.

Allah be thanked, the "Campaign to Establish Prayers" has started. Convey the message of Allah to the maximum Muslim ladies and gentlemen. This message was revealed at the Holy Prophet as under:

"Say to My Believing slaves to establish prayers." Lo! Observe, how kindly Allah is ordering His slaves to establish prayers. Please recite the verses in the Holy Quran that bear the command of prayers. The Holy Prophet persuaded his Ummah to establish prayers to the last breath of his life as under:

"Fear Allah with regard to prayer! Fear Allah with regard to prayer! Fear Allah with regard to prayer." (Al-Hadith)

O Muslims, become the establishers of prayers. All the ladies and gentlemen should take part in this campaign. Make prayers the foremost duty of your lives. Strive to establish prayer with full attention and devotion according to the Sunnah. Persuade your children to establish prayer. Arrange your timings of eating, drinking and sleeping keeping the timings of prayers in view. Make special arrangements for prayers in service and business. Give priority to prayer while arranging marriages. Give preference to prayer while establishing friendship or employing a servant, take stock of yourselves how is your prayer. Whenever there is negligence or deficiency, fear at once that disease has attacked you and your Belief is in danger. Then strive to cure yourself as a wealthy patient of cancer tries to cure his disease. O Muslims, being deprived of prayer is more dangerous than cancer. Do persuade someone to prayer daily. This Ummah has been revealed for a very elevated job. It will have to strengthen its prayer and Jihaad to enable itself for that grand job. The Campaign to Establish prayer has started. All of you should pray to Allah for the success and acceptance of this Campaign.

The Priceless Quranic Gift

Sa'di has also tried to participate in this campaign. May Allah accept it! The Holy Quran has been revealed to all. It is the duty of every Muslim to learn what the Holy Quran has told him. Alas! The Muslims today are growing ignorant of the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran has stressively ordered us to establish prayer and has also described its utilities in detail. I have collected most of the Quranic verses about prayer. If you study them, you will grasp a short glimpse of the "Dictate about prayer." By reading them, you will reap reward as well as gain power and capacity to act upon them. It will also open the doors of research for the students that wherever the dictate for prayer is there in the Holy Quran, there is no repetition but there are new benefits and new philosophies because it is the words of Allah, the All-Wise. Every Muslim should study this summary with love, respect and attention. This is the summary of not all the verses on prayer but that of a few. All that written in the summary is not the translation of the verses. Please read the Quranic gift about "persuasion to prayer."

1. Commitment to prayers is obligatory to acquire guidance and piety. Guidance and piety cannot be acquired without commitment to prayers. (Al-Baqarah: 2,3)

2. Make full arrangements for prayer and establish congregatory prayer. (Al-Baqarah: 43)

3. Acquire Allah's assistance through prayer. (Al-Baqarah: 45)

4. Prayer falls heavy to those people who have no fear of Allah and no yearning for union with Allah. Prayer is never at all heavy for those who are endowed with these blessings. (Al-Baqarah: 46)

5. Prayer is the obligation for which Allah took pledge from His slaves in the past also (Al-Baqarah: 83)

6. Prayer has been a very useful activity in the Hereafter. (Al-Baqarah: 110) Gain courage and power through prayer and Zakat when the enemies torture. (Al-Baqarah: 110)

7. Seek help from Allah through Jihaad and prayer. All the other activities of Din become easy by abiding these two activities. (Al-Baqarah: 153)

8. Take special care of prayers particularly the Asr prayer. (Al-Baqarah: 238)

9. Stand before Allah very reverently in prayer (Al-Baqarah: 238)

10. No exemption from prayer even in the state of fear. Establish prayer whether on foot or riding. (Al-Baqarah: 239) Allah mentioned prayer while mentioning marriage and divorce. Hence it comes to be known that prayer is very important in man's private and domestic life. (Allah knows better)

11. The Believers do not transact on interest. They seek best reward from Allah through prayer and Zakat and get rid of fear and grief in the Hereafter. (Al-Baqarah: 277)

12. Hazrat Zakriya was given great glad tidings during prayer. (It becomes clear that prayer is a source of great and special blessings) (Al-Imran:39)

13. Prayer is an important recognition of Allah's obedient slaves. (Al-Imran:43)

14. Do not establish prayer in the state of impurity and intoxication rather keep your heart, mind and body pure through prayer. (An-Nisa: 43)

15. No. exemption from prayer even in the state of war and journey. However, shortening of prayerand prayer of fear is allowed. Allah has told such a method of establishing prayer in war that the prayer may not be missed but Jihaad may also continue. (An-Nisa: 103)

16. Prayer is obligatory and its timings are fixed by Allah. When there is no state of fear, establish prayer very peacefully, fulfilling all the parts and conditions and taking care of its respectabilities. (An-Nisa: 103)

17. One recognition of the Hypocrites is that they are very lazy in prayer. (An-Nisa:142)

18. Prayer is the recognition of the successful Believers. (An-Nisa:162)

19. It is the significance of prayer that Allah Himself told the method of gaining purity for it. No exemption from prayer if water is not available. Observe Tayammum and establish prayer. (Al-Maaidah: 6)

20. The patient and the traveller are also not exempted from prayer. However, they are allowed some ease in the matters of washing and bathing. (Al-Maaidah:6)

21. Prayer is a source of acquiring Allah's company, Assistance, forgiveness and paradise. (Al-Maaidah: 12)

22. Only those Muslims can be the friends and well-wishes of the Muslims who establish prayer and pay Zakat. (Al-Maaidah: 55)

23. The Pagans are irritated at the sound of Azaan and make fun of it. (Al-Maaidah: 58)

24. The Satan wishes to indulge the Muslims into wine and gambling etc. and hamper them from prayer. O Muslims, avoid these things of negligence. (Al-Maaidah: 91)

25. The actual command of Allah is to demand only from Allah. The best shape of "supplication " is prayer. So, make special arrangements for prayer. (Al-Anaam: 72)

26. Those who believe in the Holy Quran and the Hereafter, make special arrangements for prayers. (Al-Anaam:92)

27. The first part of obedience is the activity of prayer. Prayer is solely for Allah. (Al-Anaam: 162)

28. Adorn yourselves with dress for the sake of prayer. (Al-Araf: 31)

29. Prayer is the recognition of the Believers. (Al-Anfal: 3)

30. If the Pagans claim of Belief , their Belief will be authentic only when they establish prayer and pay Zakat. (At-Taubah: 5)

31. Prayer and Zakat are essential after embracing Islam in order to be included in the Islamic fraternity. (At-Taubah: 11)

32. Prayer is essential to become the guided one. (At-Taubah: 18)

33. The Hypocrite is lazy with regard to prayer. (At-Tabubah: 54)

34. A great recognition of the Believing people is establishment of prayer. (At-Taubah:71)

35. Funeral prayer for the Hypocrite should not be established. (At-Taubah: 84)

36. Prayer is the symbol of those accepted and successful Muhaahideen whose lives Allah has purchased in lieu of paradise. (At-Taubah:112)

37. Establish prayer even when the enemy prevails. (Younas: 87)

38. The vices of those who establish prayer are removed. (Hood: 114)

39. Convey this message to the slaves of Allah to establish prayer before the fall of the Day of Judgement. (Ibraheem: 31)

40. Hazrat Ibraheem settled the members of his family in a plain near the holy Ka'ba so that they might establish prayers. (Ibraheem:37)

41. It is Hazrat Ibraheem's supplication, "Make me and my children the ones who establish prayer." (Ibraheem:40)

42 If you feel pestered and uneasy due to the conspiracies, remarks and actions of the pagans, attend to prayer. Establish prayer to the last breath of life. (Al-Hajr:98,99)

43. Damn Care the planning of these Pagans. Establish prayers correctly to remember Allah. Relation with Allah is the thing that is the solution to every trouble and calamity. (Bani Israil: 78)

44. Timing of five prayers. Excellence of the Fajr prayer because the angels descend at this time. (Bani Israil:78)

45. Dictate for the Holy Prophet to establish the Tahajjud Prayer. (Bani Israil: 79)

46. Allah ordered Hazrat Musa to keep establishing prayer and paying Zakat till the last breath of his life. (Mayarm: 31)

47. Hazrat Ismaeel used to order the members of his family to establish prayers and pay Zakat. (Maryam: 55)

48. Missing prayers is the practice of the deviated people. (Maryam: 59)

49. The best way of remembering Allah is prayer. (Taha: 14)

50. Do not pay heeds to the comments of the enemies of Islam. Remain busy in worship patiently and peacefully. Five times of prayers have also been mentioned in it. Allah's succour through prayers. (Taha: 130)

51. Remain firm to prayer and persuade the members of your family and your relatives to establish prayers. (Taha:132)

52. Allah ordered the Prophets to establish prayers. (Al-Anbia: 73

53. Allah ordered Hazrat Ibraheem to dust and clean Ka'ba for those who observe Tawaf and establish prayers. )Al-Hajj: 26)

54. The recognition of the successful people who behave politely is that they establish prayers. (Al-Hajj: 35) Those who travel to Ka'ba for Hajj should not be negligent in prayers during the difficulties of journey.

55. The responsibility of the believing rulers is that they should arrange for prayers as soon as they assume power (they themselves establish prayers and order the masses also to do so). When the dear ones of Allah assume power on the earth, they, first of all, establish prayers. (Al-Hajj:41)

56. Arrangement of prayers is essential to achieve success. (Al-Hajj: 77)

57. O Muslims, you have been revealed for a great cause. So, establish prayers, pay Zakat and catch the rope of Allah firmly. (Al-Hajj: 78) How can the Muslim who does not establish prayers shoulder the responsibility of being "witness to the people?"

58. It is also essential for the success of the Believers to establish prayers devoutly and to guard their prayers well to establish them collectively at their fixed times. (Al-Mu'minoon:2,9)

59. Trade and worldly pursuits do not make the truthful unmindful of their prayers. These are the people who populate the Masaajid and gain guidance from the inspiration of resplendence. (An-Noor:37)

60. If you want to have a share in Allah's mercy, do adopt the policy of the dear slaves of Allah i.e. establishing prayers, paying Zakat and acting upon the dictate of the Holy Prophet in all the walks of life. (An-Noor:56)

61. One trait of the true slaves of Allah is that they spend their nights in reclining and prostrating. (Al-Furqan:64)

62. The Holy Quran is guidance and glad tidings for those who establish prayer, pay Zakat and believe in the Hereafter. (An-Naml:3) (The essential condition to gain benefit from the Holy Quran after Belief is punctuality in establishing prayers.

63. Prayer hinders from bashlessness and evil deeds. Recite the Holy Quran and establish prayers. All the vices are removed through prayer. Prayer is a source of remembering Allah and remembering of Allah is a very great thing. (Al-Ankaboot: 45)

64. If you desire Paradise, remember Allah which is done with the help of heart, tongue and all the other parts. The remembrance of all the three kinds has been collected in prayer. Hence, make special arrangements for obligatory prayers at their fixed times. (Ar-Room:17,18)

65. Establish prayers and do not be one of the Polytheists. (Ar-Room:31) Establishment of prayers is an essential rule from among the rules described for domination.

66. Prayer is the practice of the benefactors who get guidance and blessing from the Holy Quran. (Luqmaan: 17)

67. One of the secrets of success and wisdom that Hazrat Luqmaan told his son is to establish prayer.(Luqmaan: 17)

68. Only those obey Allah who are fond of prayers and spend wealth in the way of Allah. (As-Sajdah: 16)

69. Stressive command of prayers to the wives of the Holy Prophet . (Al-Ahzaab: 33)

70. Only those benefit from the persuasion of the Holy Prophet who fear Allah without seeing Him and establish prayers. (Faatir: 18)

71. It is a business where there is no fear of loss i.e. following and reciting the Holy Quran, establishing prayers, and spending money in the way of Allah from the wealth given by Allah. (Faatir: 29)

72. Can the obedient and the disobedient be equal? No, not at all. The biggest trait of the obedient slaves is that they establish prayers at nights. (Az-Zumar:9)

73. The trait of those who will avail eternal blessings in the Hereafter is that they establish prayers. (Ashshura:38)

74. An important trait of the most successful in the world i.e. Sahaabah is their fondness and yearning for prayers that the resplendence of the prostration was visible from upon their foreheads. (Al-Fath:29)

75. Do not be upset at the obscene remarks of the Pagans. Establish prayers in the morning, evening and at night. (Qaf:39,40)

76. The Muslims worthy of paradise awake at night, establish prayers and beg forgiveness of Allah in the morning. (Az-Zaariaat: 17,18)

77. Wait for Allah's dictate patiently which will soon decide between you and they. You will not be harmed at all by the opponents. Remain busy in worshipping Allah patiently, peacefully and calmly. (At-Toor:48,49)

78. It is not the job of the wise to be unmindful of the End and laugh at the pieces of advice and wise talk. It is essential for him to worship Allah. If you want success, prostrate before one Allah and worship Him. (An-Najm:62)

79. Prayer and Zakat are the best sources of purity of the Self. (Al-Mujaadilah: 13)

80. When Azaan for Friday prayer is called, forsake every duty and rush to Masjid for prayer. There is great good in it. (Al-Juma':9)

81. There should be no transaction on Friday (between Azaan and prayer). The reward that you gain by spending this time in remembering Allah will be much better than the profit in trade. (Al-Juma':11)

82. When Allah will reveal His manifestation through shank, the Believers will fall down for prostration but the showy, the Hypocrites and the Pagans will not be able to prostrate. They will be persuaded to prostrate but they will not find any power to do so (their backs will be stiff like a plank) on that day, their eyes will be downcast due to shame; and disgrace will be overpowering them. The cause of that disgrace will be that when they were persuaded to prostrate in the world, they did not do so when they were healthy then and could prostrate. (Al-Qalam:42,43)

83. Those who establish prayers regularly and safeguard their prayers, remain safe from impatience and immaturity in temperament. (Al- Maarij: 23,24) Some other traits of these people have also been mentioned here.

84. Dictate for the Holy Prophet to establish prayer at night and its utilities. (Al-Muzammil: 1-6)

85. The scene of Tahajjud Prayer, some dictates about it and dictate to establish prayer. (Al-Muzammil: 20)

86. Describe Allah's greatness in prayer. (Al-Mudassir: 3) This helps in persuasion to Allah.

87. The dwellers in paradise will ask the dwellers in hell, "What pushed you in hell?" They will say, "We did not establish prayers nor feed the indigent." (Al-Mudassir: 41-44)

88. Provision of prayers is essential for death and preparation in the Hereafter. Destruction for the non-establisher of prayer. (Al-Qiyaamah: 31) The Pagans will be going to the Lord without any preparation and without Belief and prayer.

89. Establish prayer at nights for steadfastness, perseverance and protection against the subversions of the Pagans. It means perhaps the prayer of Maghrib and Isha' (Ad-Dahr:26)

90. Non-compliance of the dictate of prayers is the practice of the culprits and the Pagans. (Al-Mursalaat: 48)

91. Prayer is the best source of the purification of the Self. (Al-Ala14, 15)

92. There is success and purity for the establisher of prayer. (Al-Ala: 14,15)

93. The worst Pagans and Polytheists like Abu Jahl hinder from prayer. (Al-Alaq: 9,10)

94. Do not follow the Pagans rather prostrate before Allah well. (Al-Alaq:19)

It has always been the struggle of the disobedient Pagans that the Muslims may be negligent in prayers and other acts of worship. The Muslims should not be taken in by their remarks and subversions and make special arrangements for prayers and prostrations.

95. Prayer and prostration are sources of gaining Allah's nearness. (Al-Alaq:19)

96. Prayer has been the dearest and most important activity of every true Deen. (Al-Bayyinah: 5)

97. Prayer was obligatory to the old Ummah's also. (Al-Bayyinah: 5)

98. Negligence in prayer is destruction. (Al-Ma'oon: 4,5)

99. Pretension in prayer is destruction. (Al-Ma'oon: 6)

100. The best method of offering thanks is prayer and sacrifice. The greatest worship from among the physical and spiritual worships is prayer. O Prophet , we have blessed you with the abundant and greatest good. Hence (to offer thanks to it) establish prayer for your Lord and sacrifice. (Al-Kausar: 2)
