THE SPLENDOUR OF LOVE

May Allah bless us all with the splendour of His "Love!" Love for Allah is a very great and sweet thing. This is the blessing that cannot be expressed in words. Allah created our "Hearts" 7000 years before creating our "bodies" and kept those hearts in His nearness. Is it fair for us to give our hearts to some one others than Allah? It is not love but oppression to busy the heart in the remembrance of someone else than Allah.

The Problem of Doubts

Everyone is hit by doubts and ideas. The Satan sits upon the heart, attaches his trunk with hearts and instil the poison of evil thoughts in it but when the heart is invoking Allah, Allah, the Satan dares not come near it. Man lives in this world. His eyes see much. His ears hear much. The "Self" is also present in man. Allah has blessed man with reasoning. Man is not an ordinary thing. He is Allah's vicegerent on the earth. Therefore he has the power to think and perceive. "Doubts" and "fancies" are also created due to thinking; sometimes good and sometimes bad. First of all estimate, you are gripped more either with good ideas or bad the ones. If good ideas dominate, do thank Allah. If the heart and the mind become a dish antenna all the time that evil ideas continue recurring, don't worry rather think of curing it.

Traffic And Road

Human mind is like the road upon which traffic keeps plying all the time. Horses, donkeys, cycles, vehicles and trucks all ply on the road. Horses and donkeys sometimes throw dung and urine on the road. The fancies and doubts running in man's minds are also of the same kind. Sometimes, when a holy man passes, fragrance spreads everywhere. It is not in man's power to hold up the traffic. The fancies keep occurring. They cannot be stopped. The man who is upset due to these fancies, is hit and pestered more by doubts. Therefore, instead of stopping the doubts, learn the method of controlling them. Keep in mind, those who learn the method of controlling their fancies and doubts, enjoy much, visit far off places., fly very high and visit every place without any ticket or expenditures. Allah has, no doubt, given His vicegerent with very great power. Now, it is upto man to remain idle and to kill flies or to perceive his value and wins laurels in both the Worlds.

An Easy Way of Correction

This job of the lucky Muslims who determine to wage Jihaad becomes very easy. Man's doubts belong more to worldly life. Which doubts will hit the one who determines to sacrifice this life? He damn cares whether it rains or not, petrol is cheap or dear, the neighbours are good or wicked. Life requires sins. How will fancies of sins occur when life is sacrificed? His worry will be to get his present sins absolved and the tension what will happen in the grave. When fondness of union with Allah arises in the heart, the splendour of love falls like showers. When their splendour falls, the fire of wishes is distinguished. Man thinks even what will become of him till twenty years to come but the other does not think of the tomorrow even rather he is ready for sacrifice all the time. There is a great difference in the thinking of both. Then he reaps good reward at every step because there is Allah's love in the heart and no coquetry of the lovers goes waste.

What Should Others Do!

There is ease for those who rush to the front to fight but what should the others do. First, you should also intend for Jihaad. Second, put in a little labour to control your fancies and doubts. People say, "How is it possible?" O yes, all is possible. Where do the fancies fly when you are watching your loved one? The lovers of films when watch films are lost so much that they do not think of any other thing. It is we unfortunate that we are not lost in the prayer even otherwise people are lost in the computer screen till the hair on their bodies raises while sending E-mail to someone. Allah has given man the power to control his thinking to some extent. Hence we should control our thinking to some extent then we should run the bulldozer of good ideas at our hearts and minds for sometime. Every filth from upon the road of mind will be cleaned.

An Easy Way

An easy way to control doubts and thinking is to control our breath for a while for a few days. Sit straight on the ground for maximum five minutes and attend to our breath that it is going in and coming out. We breathe thousands of times daily but this automatic system keeps running itself. Now you are studying this article and your breath is running. After studying the eassy, close your eyes and attend to your breath. Then you will realize that the breath has gone in and has come out. Stop thinking all the other things. If attention diverts to something else, bring it back and remain attentive to breath from two minutes to five. This will be the first practice to control your fancies. Then invoke to Allah with your breath for at least the same span of time. When the breath goes in, it says "Allah," when it comes out, it says "Allah." Close your eyes and remain attentive to your breath and busy the breath in remembering Allah. There is neither some fancy nor doubt. We have controlled our breaths for a short while and have busied them in remembering Allah.

Agitation of the Heart

The heart belongs to Allah. It has remained with Allah for a long time. When it was captivated in the body, it kept agitating for its former position. It remains ever busy in reaching Allah. Those who busy their hearts in remembering Allah, satisfy the Agitation of the hearts. The heart is pleased with them and prays for them. That's why; this heart finds great delight in the company of the "holy people" but is afraid of the mundane. The heart of the people who do not provide it with proper feed gets offended with them. It becomes stiff and stained and is always whithered. Such people have to resort to eating, drinking, fornication and music to remain happy but why happiness? The real happiness is that of the heart. When the heart is stiff, how can real happiness be gained?

The Next Stage

The stage of attending to breath and busying it in remembering Allah has been covered. O the slaves of Allah, it is very easy but this task of a few minutes also seems difficult due to negligence. All these stages become easy for the Muslims who are blessed with the company of the true slaves of Allah. Not to speak of five minutes, they do not get tired even after remembering Allah for five hours. This curriculum of seven minutes was presented in the same column of the Rang-o-Noor. Allah be thanked, several Muslims benefited from it. Now, the second easy syllabus is being presented. May Allah make it useful for us all! Actually, we have let our thoughts loose very greatly. Then we complain of doubts all the time. I receive very strange letters. Several of our brothers and sisters get tired of doubts and are getting disappointed whereas there is no ground to be disappointed. Control your thoughts and doubts. Then think good points for five minutes only i.e. of love for Allah, bounties of Allah, Forgiveness from Allah and sometimes about your grave and stages in the Hereafter. Do run the traffic of good thoughts at the road of the mind just for five minutes, the road will be purified completely. Take heart. This world and the Hereafter are for the courageous holy people. Act upon this short syllabus for a week. Start running the verses of the Holy Quran,, Hadiths and good ideas at your minds and hearts. The rest of the points will be given the next week if Allah wills.
