SINCERITY, COURAGE AND SUPPLICATION

May Allah bless us all with "Sincerity and Courage!" Allah had endowed my venerable teacher Hazrat Maulana Mufti Ahmad-ur-Rahmaan with these two attributes in abundance. He lived for fifty-one years but performed great task that cannot be done by a group in one hundred years. Hazrat Imaam Shafaee also did not live long but billions of people of the world consider it there auspiciousness to follow him. His followers are found in Egypt, Malaysia, Indonesia and even in Kashmir. Allah had endowed the said Imaam with sincerity and courage. No one can hamper the progress of the person who is endowed with these two blessings. Hazrat Naanotavi also did not live long but his name as alive as his work is a proof and authority. His eternal sadaqaat lie scattered in the entire world. The leader of the sincere people of our age Hazrat Mufti Ahmad-ur-Rahmaan and his sincere companions like Mufti Hazrat Abd-us Sami' Shaheed, Hazrat Mufti Nezaam-ud-Din shaheed and Hazrat Mufti Jameel Khan Shaheed all died some one age approx. Blessings and multiplications are created in the deeds of the people who make "Allah's good will" their object of life. Moreover, anyone among these sincere people who shows courage is exalted by Allah so much. We may stop here for a while and have look at the incidents of the past.

In the field of Badr, the unarmed 313 individuals were to face one thousand armed heathens. Apparently, there was no chance of the survival of the Muslims. Which activity did the Holy Prophet perform in that situation? All the reports say that the Holy Prophet supplicated on that occasion. He supplicated very abundantly and beseechingly until it drew heavenly assistance in the field of Badr. Think please, how great and how mighty thing supplication is! Hazrat Musa was travelling with his wife. He had neither any army nor apparent might. During the journey, he was ordered to go and persuade Pharaoh to Allah. Pharaoh was a very mighty and cruel King. A murder case was also filed against Hazrat Musa in Egypt. Pharaoh himself was his personal enemy and was in search of him. Only one individual was commanded to face the Super Power of the time which was apparently impossible, quite impossible. What did Hazrat Musa do in that situation? All know that he stretched hands for supplication and made Allah Almighty his ally with the help of supplication. He prayed to Allah thus, "O Allah, open my heart i.e. bless me with courage." Diseases and accidents befell Hazrat Ayub and left him all alone. What did he do then? It is written in the Holy Quran that he supplicated. Allah showered His grace and blessings upon him. Hazrat Zakariya had no children and needed children to continue the task of Din. What did he do then? The Holy Quran tells us that he prayed to Allah and Allah blessed him with children.

The entire Holy Quran is replete with such glimpses. All these glimpses tell us that supplication is a very great thing. Supplication has great power in it. Allah had given Sahaabah with the power of supplication. If you have a look at history, you will come to know of the wonderful and strange incidents of the supplication of the Sahaabah that one is wonder-struck and tongue-tied. Our venerable teacher Mufti Ahmad-ur-Rahmaan was a man of supplications. Hazrat Binnori had appointed him his vicegerent at the age of thirty-nine. There is the fear of the arise of two seditions in such an apponitment. First, people show heartlessness as to how they will bear that burden. They, at once, look to worldly sources and troubles. They forget that it is Allah who engages one in auspicious task. He makes one individual do the task of thousands of people. The second sedition is that after accepting the offer, the yearning to fulfil the heart desires is generaed. He ever remains waiting when he will get such and such post, when he would have plenty of wealth and unlimited powers and when he shall fulfil his wishes but true sincere Believers remain safe from both seditions. Instead of showing cowardice, they resort to supplications thus "O Allah, this responsibility has been imposed upon me. Help me and be kind to me!" On the other hand, they scratch out all the fondness, all the yearnings and worldly desires from their hearts and devote themselves to Din. Hazrat Mufti Ahmad-ur-Rahmaan accepted the responsibility. He made supplications his routine all the time and scratched out every wish from his heart except the task of Din and thinking for the Hereafter. Then, he had neither the tension of constructing his house nor of earning anything in this mortal world. It is a fact that as long as man gets rid of his personal worries and wishes, resplendence is not created in his work. There was great favour of Allah on venerable Mufti. He was blessed with so high status of sincerity and courage with which only those individuals of this Ummah are blessed who enjoy the auspiciousness of relation with Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique . If you study the life history of Hazrat Abu Bakr and then that of Hazrat Mufti, you will be constrained to blurt out that Hazrat Mufti enjoyed relaion with Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique . There was so great mildness and sympathy in him that he tried to be helpful to everyone and greet him. At the same time, there was great strictness in him that the rulers of the time would tremble due to his awe. Hazrat Hajivary writes in his book Kashf-ul-Mahjoob, "If someone is to become "Sufi" i.e holy saint, he will have to adopt the attributes of Hazrat Abu Bakr at any cost.

It means that if you want to become real saints, you will have to follow Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique because the purity of the innerself is the trait of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique .(Kashf-ul-Mahjoob)

The greatest trait of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique was his sincerity. The state of his sincerity was that even at the time of the sad demise of the Holy Prophet he was not inattentive to Allah when that sad incident had shaken everyone. Second trait of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique was his "Courage." As he always looked to Allah, he did not leave any religious task undone considering it impossible. He laid the foundations of Caliphate. Then its sacred lights spread to the entire world. When a man has sincerity and courage, he also has "sense of honour for Din" more than others. The state of sense of honour for Din in Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique was so great that the bold and courageous person like Hazrat Umar was wondered at it. Hazrat abu Bakr Siddique waged Jihaad against apostates and fought against those whoe refused to pay Zakat. In this way, caliphate was founded on the way out and policy of prophethood. Hazrat abu Bakr's supplications, his penitance, his humility and hospitality, his simplicity, his piety, his bravery, his Quranic and welfare services and his Jihaad are resplendent and living examples for the Muslim Ummah. Hazrat Hajvary writes, "Hazrat Abu Bakr's heart was so pure of the love of this world that on the eve of the battle of Tabook) he offered all his wealth, sources, slave and every thing that he owned in the way of Allah, he himself put on rags and came to the Holy Prophet .

Allah blessed Hazrat Mufti with some share from the relation with Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique . He took on the responsibility of the management of the Institution of Hazrat Binnori and served the Holy Quran and the Sunnah well which is special effect of relation with Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique . Under his management, that institute became the biggest and the authentic most institute of Pakistan and its branches spread far and wide. With regard to looking after the widows and the orphan, Hazrat Mufti revived the example of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique . Then he devoted himself to Jihaad in the way of Allah and achieved acumen in relation with Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique .

Hazrat Mufti had been blessed with all these favours due to the blessings of "Sincerity" and "Courage" and Allah had showered the favours of "Sincerity" and "Courage" due to the blessings of "Supplications." It is all Allah's Grace that He gives to whom He wills. May Allah raise Hazrat Mufti in degrees, shower His blessings upon the members of his family and continue the blessings of his righteous deeds to the Day of Judgement. May Allah grant us also with the blessings of "Sincerity, Courage and Supplications!"
