THE BRIGHT FUTURE

Only Allah knows how many days of my life are left and how many days of your lives are left. It is useless to ask the fortune-tellers about it. They know nothing. Believing in their words is a heinous sin. This sin sometimes snatches away Belief. Do not study at all what is published in papers under the heading "How will Be Your Week?"We should only be anxious that the remaining days of our lives may be spent in Belief and our end may be in Belief. There were several columns in today's paper. An old journalist has again written a poisonous column against Jihaad and Mujaahideen. That column writer is eighty-three years old but his spirits against Din and Jihaad are still young. I have studied the entire column. Most of the points in it are false, sinful and mischief-mongeing. There is not a single point that may prove that he has some link with Islam and the Muslims. I flew into a rage after reading the column and intended to write about it. After observing ablution, when I offered two Rak'at prayer, the state of fear instead of anger overwhelmed me as, "What will become of me in the Hereafter?" Numerous people lead pious lives but go astray near their deaths. ,

A number of Journalists were the supporters of Afghan Jihaad at its initial stage because there was no danger in supporting Jihaad at that time. When the third phase of Afghan Jihaad started, they also began to write against Jihaad. They preferred saving their lives to saving their Belief. Many people are very punctual and regular in offering prayers at the start of youth but they slacken and deviate after marriage. It is said about a person that he was a scholar. He had beard. Afterwards, he grew mundane and was deprived of knowledge as well as beard. Now, he works in Radio Pakistan. Many people were Mujaahid but these days they are regular servants of America and they work against Jihaad day in day out. It is heard about many ladies that they observed veil but now they have been deprived of the blessings of veil. Many ladies would regularly offer Tahajjad prayers but now they are negligent and are rushing to Infidelity speedily. There are numerous such horrible examples around us. We see many people who were very elevated but could not stand at the height and fell down. Numerous known Mujaahid, big preachers and pious people have now fallen into a life of disgrace and sins. I was gripped by this fear as " O Allah, what will become of me?". The way to goodness is very high but one begins to whirl after reaching the height and the Satan also pushes him down. The man who falls down from as much height, is as much ruined. Allah is All-Generous and Independent. He is the Creator of so high skies and so big earths. An eighty-three years old man does not remember his death. He is writing false and sin to earn a few pennies and is pleading the enemies of Din. What concern has Allah? No great is greater than Allah and no mighty is mightier than He. O yes, we need Allah to believe in Him and be firm to it to the last. But how to be firm to Belief? There is persuasion to sin and deviation from every side. I saw a young man who was firm at Din and had great passion for Jihaad but slipped away when the time of his marriage came. The pair of scissors worked at his beard and he fell away Din. How many people were there who had great concern for the lawful and the unlawful but when the world attracted them a little, they got loans on interest and fell into deep ditches. O Allah, what will become of us? When Ustaaz Syyaf used to be in Peshawar, he used to ignite the fire of emotions standing at the dead bodies of the martyrs. Now, he is the supporter of Kabul and America. What need and concern Allah has?. Allah does not depend upon any Sayyaf or Rabbaani. He has raised such Mujahideen to revive Jihaad for whom past Mujahideen are all praise. With how greatness and Belief a Fedai rises up and lays down his life with complete pious intentions. What position these envelopes of high names and protocol have? The cameras and videos have killed sincerity to death. There are different kinds of poses and photographs. What are we to show to Allah when all is shown to the people? What would we carry to Allah? The Pagans of this age have opened the mouths of their treasures to spread deviation. They say, "Forsake Belief and be merry. Forsake Jihaad and be merry". There are currency notes, dollars, girls, films, planes, secretaries and every kind of filth. The people whose faces would shine with resplendence, indulged themselves in worldliness and were deprived of every resplendence and light. The people who would tell the incidents of the self-sufficiency of the Sahaabah with love, now use the mobiles camera very provdly. Their hearts demand every that sin for which no Muslim but only a Pagan can yearn. O Allah, what will become of us? Horrible trials are lying ahead with mouths wide open. If someone goes behind the bars for a few days,he wipes his hands of Belief and Jihaad. If someone has to leave his house, he gets ready to sacrifie his Din for the sake of his home. If an ailment attacks someone, he exaggerates his illness and calls himself a helpless crippled. If someone faces domestic troubles, he throws Din and Jihaad to wall. We speak of Hazrat Ibrahim who was thrown into fire but remained adamant to his stand. We tell the stories of Hazrat Musa who was put in trials and tribulations from the lap of his mother. We tell the tales of Hazrat Bilal and Hazrat Samiya but cannot tolerate a few sticks and blows for the sake of Din. We pray that we may not face the situation that befell the dear slaves of Allah. We do not know how far and deep we shall fall. Trials do come in Din and Jihaad. It is not the game of democracy where let the photo drawn, get ministries and deceive ourselves that we have served Din much. Firstly, Din descends upon the heart, then its branches emerge in the shape of good deeds. When Din and Jihaad strengthen and are firm, trials start. This is the actual time of trials. Shall we be able to remain firm to Din in the coming days of life or the wishes of the world will push us into hell? O Allah, be kind to us! Many people are there who lead good life in youth but in the last period of old age, they deviate and turn sinners. Some people do so for the sake of children and some others for a slight peace and comfort; someone out of obstinacy and opposition but others for honour and love for wealth. O Allah, be kind to us! What will become of us? How lucky were the people who remained firm to Belief to the last moments of life. If we also want to be one of those, there is only one way and that way is of seeking Allah's help. We should weep bitterly and pray to Allah beseechingly, "O Allah bless us with perseverance to Belief! O Allah, bless us with complete Belief and kill us at this complete Belief. We should make special arrangements for a supplication for it.

If is written in Kanz-ul-Ammaal that Hazrat Abu Bakr would pray thus. This supplication is also reported from Hazrat Anas according to some narrations. It is mentioned in "Manaajaat Maqbool" with this reference. We learn from Hazrat Anas' report in Tibraani where the Holy Prophet heard an Araabi praying thus, he blessed him with good reward. I saw Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Yousaf making arrangements for this supplication during journeys. The Tafseer Book by Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani has recently been published in Turkey. The compiler of that Tafseer "Muhammad Faazil Tilbani" has written this supplication in its preface. There is an incident of an old in the "Hayaat-ul-Haiwan" who was captive with the Romans. One night, he wept bitterly praying to Allah and went to sleep. A bird taught him this supplication. He supplicated for three nights and Allah arranged for his honourable and wonderful release. The topic of ours today is also included in that supplication.

This supplication is in the following way in the Manaajaat Maqbool with reference to Tibraani .

"O my Lord, make the best part of my life its last days, and make my best activities my last activities and make that day of my life best when I join You."

The report and words are the same in Kanz-ul-Ammaal with reference to "Sunnan Saeed bin Mansoor"

Hazrat Muawiah bin Qurra says that Hazrat Abu Bakr would say in his supplication.

Translation of these is the same. However words are different at two places only. You can memorise any words you like. Another supplication has also been linked with it in Manaajaat Maqbool. That is not the part of this supplication but a separate one which is reported by Hazrat Ayesha in Tibraani.

"O Allah, multiply my living in old age and last part of life." It will be better if we link this supplication with the last one. If man is not hand to mouth in old age, it is easy for him to remain firm to Belief and good actions. Let us now think over a few aspects of this supplication a little!

(i) This supplication creates in us the concern that every coming day of our life should be better than the last one. It is no Belief if we spend a few days in emotions doing good deed and then loosen and fall prey to the Satan.

(ii) This supplication creates is us the fear of our "end" which is essential for a Mu'min, Mujaahid and the worshipping Muslim. If we consider our Jihaad and worship a great thing, we can be deprived of it any time. Therefore, we should inculcate in us the fear of our end and remain busy in righteous deeds all our lives and should never regard ourselves "eternally successful."

(iii) We should keep measuring every day of our life whether it is better than the previous ones or not. Finding every new day is a blessing from Allah. Therefore, we should progress in Belief, righteous deeds, knowledge and intentions on every new day.

(iv) In this supplication, there is yearning for success in future and good end. A slave requests Allah, "O Allah, only You are the Lord and Owner of my life, death and my days and my nights. Only that day must be the height of my progress when I am to face death".

The storms of seditions are blowing from every direction these days. The flood of deviation is advancing rapidly and there is persuasion to sin at every step. The most dangerous of all is the field of journalism. Most of the journalists have sold their Beliefs and conscience. They are the most dangerous enemies of the Mujaahideen.

They sting in the guise of friends and attack even as enemies. Every evil reaches the Mujaahideen through them. They are the representatives of Infidelity and Satan. Once, a journalist in Karachi approached me for interview. That journalist used to write in a semi-religious journal and his articles were read by the religious people. During interview, he put a question whose exact answer could harm the Mujaahideen much. It is evident that in Jihaad you cannot always speak against every one all the time. If the German and Korean nations enter into alliance with the Taalibaan to fight the NATO, the Taalibaan will not issue statements against them. In the same way; sometimes the Mujaahid fights one enemy and does not like to enrage the other enemy against himself, so he becomes careful about statements in this situation. When that journalist asked me a seditious question, I turned off his tape recorder and said to him, "You are considered a holy man. Why are you spreading this mischief?" He smiled and said, "O Maulana, what harm will you face? I shall receive 100 dollars because of your statement." I was wondered at his avarice and callousness. These journalists pull the Mujaahideen to media for the sake of dollars. Then they get them killed by the Pagans for more dollars. Why do these people make Mujaahideen issue awkward statements? Then they spy against Mujaahideen making those statements their tools. They have no good intentoins save wealth and honour. They are devoid of every passion for Belief and concern for the Hereafter. Recently, a worshipper of dollars has written a book named "Punjabi Taalibaan." The object of this book is to instigate the government of Pakistan and America to start operation against the religious sect in the Punjab. There was a column in honour of that book by that same old man in today's newspaper. I learnt a great lesson that if Allah gets offended, in how great trouble man falls. The entire life of that old man is a horrible lesson i.e. disease,failure and deprivation. He led the precious years of his life in pleading communism. Then he saw communism being disgraced in his own life. Now, all the hopes of this anti-religious sect are attached with America whereas they would say a short while ago that Mujaahideen were the American agents. How great Allah's grace! All of them are waiting for death being the American agents. May Allah bless all of us with complete Belief and better every coming day of our lives! We should make arrangements for the supplication mentioned today and make it our routine.

Specially on the occasions when the supplications are granted. Also supplicate the following with other supplications. For example:

(i) At the time of Azaan (ii) While going on Jihaad journey and the war front (iii) In the line of Jihaad (iv) At the time of Tahajjad (v) In the Raku' and Sajada of the obligatory and Sunna prayers (vi) At the time of recitation of the Holy Quran (vii) Between the Sunna and obligatory prayer of Fajr (viii) While drinking Zam Zam water (ix) On the eve and occasion of Hajj and Umah (x) When line for prayer is made (xi) While going to Masjid for prayer (xii) After obligatory prayer (xiii) After invoking good Names of Allah etc.

May Allah grant us with such capacity and grant this supplication for us. A friend from Karachi has sent a book named "Khameeri Muslims." This belief-provoking book tells us about two Muslim daughters who have given up Hinduism and have embraced Islam. This is belief-provoking story of perseverance. The gents in general and ladies the in particular should study this book. It will help them in following the Din. This book is published at Jaamia Binnoria SITE Karachi. The summary of this book is going to be published in the Al-Qalam. May Allah grant it with acceptance!
