THOSE WHO LIVE FOR OTHERS

Allah multiplies in the living for anyone He likes and straightens it for the one He likes. He knows well and watches His slaves. Do not kill your children for fear of livelihood because We provide you and them as well. Killing them is, no doubt, a very big sin.

One Page, Four Dictates

Today, when I sat down to write the column, my innerself cried, "Get guidance from the Holy Quran." When I opened the Holy Quran with the name of Allah, I glanced at the two verses whose meanings you have studied above. Next, I found at that same page four dictates for the Muslims about "Wealth." No doubt, the matter of wealth is very tender and sensitive. That's why; Allah and His Messenger have described the dictates about wealth very clearly so that the wealth of the Muslims may not become a "Torment" rather it may become a source of comfort and good luck. Those four dictates are as under:-

(i) The owner of the wealth is Allah Who gives anyone and as much He likes. It becomes clear that a Muslim should turn only to Allah for his "living". We should not regard anyone as sustainer save Allah. We should not offened Allah for the sake of wealth and subsistance. We should not think that the wealth would decrease by expending it on the righteous deeds. When you expend it at one place following Allah's dictate, Allah will grant it with blessings.

(ii) Do not kill your children for fear of hunger and poverty i.e. do not think that you feed the children. Every newly born baby brings his living with him. That's why; the wise people say, "More children, prosperous family." Do not kill the children neither physically nor spiritually for fear of decrease in the living; the physical killing to take away their lives. Spiritual killing is to deprive them of Din and religious education for the sake of living. Both types of these killings are unlawful and illegal.

(iii) Do not usurp the wealth of the orphan illegally i.e. distribute the legacy correctly. Do not eat the burning charcoals of hell by usurping the share of the orphans rather look after the wealth of the orphan and take care of them well.

(iv) Do not decrease or increase in the measurement. Measure it in correct scales i.e. do not earn deceitfully and fraudulently. Do not misappropriate. Do not usurp anyone's rights. Take consideration of Sharia' dictates in trade.

This is the summary of the four dictates which Allah has told the Muslims about wealth at only one page of the Holy Quran.

To Whom Wealth Belongs

The Holy Quran tells us that real Master of Wealth is Allah. This wealth is given to the Believers by Allah so that they may fulfil their needs and buy for them the blessings in the Hereafter. Meeting the worldly needs is comprehensible to all but no one grasps the point how to purchase the blessings in the Hereafter. It is Allah's favour and grace that He persuades the Muslims to expend money on Jihaad and other deeds of goodness in very wonderful ways. If a Muslim studies the verses and Traditions which persuade him to expend money, it becomes very easy for him to donate even the clothes from on his body. Recite only the Surah Al-Hadeed. There is instigating persuasion in it to invest money in Jihaad. Allah-o-Akbar! How kind is Allah. He himself gives the wealth. When a slave expends it in His way, He grants him with the blessings of both the Worlds. How kindly Allah tells in Surah Al-Hadeed!

i) O Wealthy people, this wealth belonged to someone else before you. Now, it is with you. Then it will not remain with you even. This wealth will go to someone else in your life time or after your death. So, be wise, expend this wealth in the way of Allah and procure it for the Hereafter. The meanings of verse 7 of Surah Al-Hadeed indicate to it.

ii) O Wealthy people, you are to desert this wealth the same for Allah because all will perish and Allah will be the heir to everything. Then why do you not expend this wealth in the way of Allah willingly?

iii) O Wealthy people, this spending money by you is like lending money to Allah. Now, think how great auspiciousness it is! Still, the promise is that Allah multiplies your reward and wealth by spending it. Its reward will be in the form of holy Paradise. Meaning of Verse No.11.

Wealth --- An Auspiciousness Or Torment

The people who invested money in the way of Allah, became the rulers of world and reward in the Hereafter became their lot but those who were avaricious and stingy, filled themselves and their surroundings with the fire of this world and the Hereafter. This painful pathetic situation is the result of the race for dollars i.e. the rulers who sell the country for the sake of wealth, the officers who bargain the Muslims for a few dollars, the Journalists who spread disruption for the sake of wealth and the intelligentsia who are deprived of Din for the sake of wealth. All of them have made the country a battlefield and killing place for the Muslims. They monopolized to wipe out terrorism and at last, they observed terrorism. There were good-mannered, peace-loving and Allah--worshipping Mujahideen in the country nine years ago. They neither had any bomb blast nor any killing in the country. They had a few semi-automatic licenced rifles. Whenever police held them, they stopped smilingly and let the police search them. Those Mujaahid were an eye-sore to the Pagans. They showed dollars to the dollar-worshippers and ordered them to start persecuting them aright. They purchased the journalists to sing about terrorism. The dunce intelligentsia were made to visit America so that they might start work against terrorism. All of them received fees and began to persecute the Mujahideen. There were raids at the Mosques and the religious institutons, arresting of Mujahideen, evernew kinds of absurd persecutions, and scepticism about every religious person. Then Allah's wrath was stirred and now everyone is dying, burning and crying. It seems that the situation is totally out of control. I can say with certainty that if the rulers repent of dollar-worshipping, working against Jihaad but recognize Mosques and religious institutions, and ban the purchased journalists, Pakistan can become the land of peace within three months. In this country, there was no terrorist. The dollar-worshippers constrained the people to terrorism. As long as this policy continues, the situation will keep worsening. May Allah be kind to us!

There Is Blessing In Generosity

In, "Kashful-Mahjoob" Hazrat Ali Hajvary has written very strange incidents of spending money. The summary of a few of them is given below reading which, our fortune may begin to work and we may also become one of those who spend in the way of Allah.

(i) Once, eight thousand Dirham were brought to the Holy Prophet . He spread them all at a piece of cloth and did not rise from his place before distributing them.

(ii) The king of Abyssinia sent two mond "Musk" to the Holy Prophet . He dropped it all in water and asked his companions to use it.

(iii) A man came to the Holy Prophet . The Holy Prophet donated him a full horde of goats. When he went to his clan, he began to say, "O my clan, the Holy Prophet gives so much as donations that the people do not care for poverty."

(iv) A man came to Hazrat Hasan S/o Ali and said, "O the son of the Prophet, I owe four hundred." Hazrat Hasan ordered to give him four hundred and he himself entered the house weeping. The people said, "You are the grandson of the Prophet , why are you weeping?" He said, "I weep because I delayed in knowing his condition so much so he had to undergo humiliation." Those who Live For Others

Hazrat Hajvary writes:

"One day, a man came to Hazrat Hussain bin Ali and said, "O the son of the Messenger of Allah , I am a Darvesh and a man with a family. Give me something to eat." Hazrat Hussain said to him, "Sit down. Our daily stipend is still on the way. It will come soon." After a short while, people brought him five bags from Hazrat Ameer Muaaviah. There were one thousand Dirham in each bag. The people said, "Hazrat Ameer Muaawiah says apologetically, "Do spend this small amount. The better will be offered next." Hazrat Hussain pointed to that Darvesh and gave all those bags to him apologizing to him for the little delay in giving to him some money, "If I knew that it was a small amount, I would not have said to you to wait. I must be excused. We abstain all the comforts of life. We decease our wishes and live for others." (Kashf-ul-Mahjoob)

Allah-o-Akbar! How strange the point and how sweet the sentence! We live for the others! It is a very great auspiciousness if Allah blesses a Muslim with this state that he lives for others. O yes, a very very great auspiciousness!

Good Chance Exists

There are numerous incidents of spending in the way of Allah. Study please the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh chapter of Fazaail-e-Amaal. I hope, the man who studies these three chapters attentively, will certainly get ready to earn so much good. Livelihood and bread are given to everyone that is ordained to him. Birds and animals go out empty belly but in the evening, their bellies are full. Numerous fish in the oceans get their livelihood regularly. When earthquake struck Azad Kashmir, many big snakes came out due to the cracking and bursting of mountains. Those snakes larger than trees were getting their livelihood under the earth. So they were alive.

Not to speak of jungles, Allah provides sustenance to His Creatures even in the deserts. So, we give someone or not, his living will reach him at any cost however if we provide, it will be useful. The entire world is bent upon stopping the "Contribution" of the Mujahideen still the enemies say that Muhaideen have great wealth. The bank accounts have been sealed. The wealthy sect have got afraid. The contribution boxes have been lifted. But Allah be thanked that the work is in progress and the eyes of the jealous people are coming out. All this is Allah's system which no one can change. The sincere devotees of "Ar-Rahmat Trust" have again come out into the field. They advise the people to take part in collective sacrificial animals. "We will increase in your goodness by sacrificing our delights even on the Eid day. We will carry meat to the children of Shuhada, carry goats and cows to the captives of Islam and carry food to the dining tables of the old parents of the Shuahda." How great the passion! How high thinking! May Allah grant blessings in the lives of these youngmen! They themselves yearn for Shahaadat but give a sense of life of others. After every one or two months, they hit on which has all good for the Muslim Ummah. Sometimes they raise voice for Jihaad and sometimes for mosques. Sometimes, they are under the thinking of establishing prayers and sometimes of connecting the Ummah with the good olden days. They have started the campaign of slaughtering sacrificial animals for the last several years and have been carrying meat to the places where it is impossible to carry without the grant of capacity by Allah. They carry meat to those who sacrifice every thing for the grandeur and protection of religious institutions, mosques, the poor, the wayfarers and the Muslim Ummah. Those of you who are granted with power and capacity, may also take part in the collective slaughtering of sacrificial animals this year with the "Ar-Rahmat Trust." One animal or more according to the power and capacity granted by Allah. If you have not the power, pray to Allah to grant you with the capacity. If still you are not granted, you should persuade others to it. We need good deeds very greatly at the place we are to go. May all of us be those who earn righteous deeds!
