SEEK THE CANDLES OF LIGHT, NOT DARKNESS

May Allah be kind! Much blood has been shed in Pakistan and much more is being shed still. The explosion in the "People Market" in Peshawar was very horrible in its nature. A Masjid, several students and approx 150 individuals have been martyred. The news is that the Masjid itself has become debris and the ruins. The dead bodies of ten students who would recite the Holy Quran have not yet been discovered from under it. Now, there is neither Azaan nor Prayers whereas there are funerals and sobbing in every nook and corner of Peshawar. India has exercised this oppression with the help of Afghan government. The object is to kill the Muslims, weaken Pakistan and air the operation in South Waziristan so that the Pakistani Muslims may fight and kill one another even more. There is ANP regime in NWFP. They are the old chum of India. They used to talk of breaking Pakistan in the past and crying against America much but now they are friends of America and feel delighted at the deaths of the religious people. Halairy Clinton is rounding Pakistan like a snake. She talks only one thing, "We shall give you aid if you kill the Muslims." The situation is very distracting and perplexing but we are to search the candles of light in this situation and get light from those candles. The reason is that we call ourselves Believers (Mu'minien). May Allah bless us with complete belief! The great recognition of the Believer is that he loves Allah.

"Those who believe, have passionate love for Allah."

Do you know what is "love?" Hazrat Fazeel bin Ayaaz says, Love is the name of concord of the friend." It means if you love someone, you will keep agreeing with him in every point and every thing and will not let opposition enter the heart.

If we love Allah, we should be contented at whatever Allah does and whatever He decides and make our hearts conforming to the dictates of Allah. If Allah wills the situation to be so, we are contented. There will certainly be a great good behind these darknesses. So, you need not utter infidel words after falling prey to grief and anxiety. Our duty is to pray for "good" and "favourable circumstances" to perform our legal duty and not to be disappointed of Allah even for a moment. We should be loyal to Allah if the entire world is with us. We should be loyal to Allah if the entire world becomes our enemy. The one who finds this secret is the successful Muslim of this age. What effect is cast upon Allah's Paradise however much the world situation worsens? What effect does this cast upon the celestial wives? What need does a Mu'minin have to be disappointed if there is no effect? He is rushing towards Paradise, its blessings and his celestial wives. The early Muslims also underwent great troubles and trials: the trials of Makkah, barbarism of Abu Jahl, the oppressions of Abu Lahb and Utbah, the stones of Taaif, the thorns of emigration, subversion of the age of Musalimah Kazzaab, then the incident of the bridge in which thousands of Muslims were martyred, the fight in the reign of Usmaan in which ten thousand Muslims were martyred, and then the subversion of the oppression of Hajjaaj bin Yousaf. In all these trials, no Muslim said in perturbance, "What will happen now?" All knew that they were going to Allah and rushing to the Paradise. Then they themselves discovered the candles of light in the darkness of oppressions. For example, note the following short incident:

There has been a Mujaahid named "Abu Muhammad" in the age of Abd-ur-Rahmaan Andulisia. He says, "I also went out for Jihaad in the year of the Ditch. The Muslims were defeated and the remaining Muslims scattered hither and thither. I was also one of those who survived and was walking all alone. I would hide myself during day time and journey at night to escape the enemies. One night, I reached any army camp. There were horses all around. The fire was burning and the sound of the recitation of the Holy Quran was heard from everywhere. I offered thanks that I have reached the Muslim army. I met a young man there. His horse was tied nearby and he was reciting the Surah Bani Israaiel. I saluted him. He answered and then asked me, "Are you one of those who survived?" I said, "Yes." He seated me and brought for me out seasoned grapes, two pieces of bread and a bowl of water. I had never taken so delicious meals before. After dinner, he asked me, "Do you want to sleep?" I said, "Yes." He made me place my head on his thigh and I went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, there was no one in the plain and my head was placed at a human bone. I comprehended that it was the swarm of the martyrs. This detailed incident can be read at page 446 of "Fazaail-e-Jihaad." We see it a bone but what is being done with this bone, only Allah knows. How much is fed in the memory card of the phone cannot be discovered just looking at it? This is the trash of the world. No one knows the Worlds of Allah save Him. How big is the world of Barzakh? What can we weak people know? Then why have we considered this world everything? When the situation worsens a little, we lose wits and instead of calling "Allah, Allah" there is only one sentence on the lips, "What will be done now? What will be done now?" I recall well that many people forsook legal Jihaad for fear of "Parvez Musharrif" and many people turned their religious institutions into the "Centres of Computers." Allah removed Parvez Musharrif with His device. Now, have you recently witnessed the state of the "Naraindar Moody" a beast of Indian Gujrat? The punishment of "Swine Flu" has gripped him. These days, he is lying all alone like Abu Jahl in his house. If someone advises Mr. Advaani to ask after his "Hunting dog" he will never go. Even the members of the family of "Moody" do not go near him. Doctors also put on safety dress and mask like spacemen before going near him. How many signs are there in it for the Muslims. If you read the statement of the Indian Interior Minister, you will see that he is gripped by the fear of the Mujahideen. Observe Americans and the NATO people, they find themselves in the jungle of despair.

O yes, Allah is assisting the Muslims and pushing their enemies into exemplary torment. If the Muslims stop considering this world everything, their despair can end up at once. Allah be thanked, we Muslims have the Kalima . We have the Holy Quran. We have Ka'bah. We have the holy grave of the Messenger of Allah . We have Masjid-ul-Haraam. We have Masjid Nabvi. We have the knowledge of Sunnah of our Holy Prophet in the shape of Traditions and Jurisprudence. We have Masaajid. We have fasting, Zakat and Hajj. We have Jihaad in the way of Allah. We have sacrificing Mujaahideen and the Martyrs. We have the Huffaaz of the Holy Quran and the scholars. Only that person may be despaired who is cut off from Allah. Why should that be disappointed who has Omnipresent Allah? Our Lord is keeping the doors of repentance open for twenty-four hours.

At the late night, He Himself calls us to repentance. He is so kind that He replaces the sins like high mountains into righteousnesses by casting only one eye. Fazeel bin Ayaaz had set out from home to rob the people. One Qari from among the Caravan whom, he had to rob, was riding his Camel and reciting the Holy Quran.

"Has the time not yet come for those who believe that their hearts should be humble for the remembrance of Allah."

No sooner did Fazeel hear this verse, he bowed down his head for repentance. Allah made him the chief of the holy saints and "Aabid-ul-Haramain." What status do our sins have before Allah's Grandeur? Hazrat Abdullah bin Mubaarik set out from his house to have a glimpse of his beloved. He was indulged in the trouble of "mundane love." He kept standing below the wall of the house of his beloved. He was below and she was above. They kept looking at each other the whole might. When he heard the Fajr Azaan, he turned to the Real Beloved for a while. He said to himself, "O the son of Mubaarik, you should feel ashamed that you kept standing the whole night for the sake of sexual desires and still you wish honour and respect but if the Imaam recites a lengthy Surah in prayers, you grow mad. How can you claim Belief in the presence of this sexual desire?" (Kashful-Mahjoob, Hazrat Hajvary ) He reproached himself so intensely that Allah accepted him and made him the crown of Ulama, Mujaahideen and holy saints. Can we not meditate for a while in loneliness? Look! Look! The resplendence of Kalima Tayyibah is shining over our heads. Look! Look, the grandeur and greatness of Ka'bah is showering its resplendence upon us. Look! Look! The fragrance of "Divine Love" from the war fronts of Palestine, Afghanistan, Kashmir and Iraq is coming. Look! Look! The Holy Quran is flowing before us like the sweet ocean of Guidance. Remember! Remember, a short while in loneliness. Hurry up! Close your tongue and eyes and remember, Allah is Omnipresent. How many blessings He has showered upon me. Then ponder over the Holy Quran, Holy Ka'bah, Black Stone (Hajr-rAswad) and the Holy grave. Think of the fragrance at the war fronts and the perfuming blood of the martyrs. O yes, do meditate over these matters. This is called Meditation. Be lost in the remembrance of your Lord, His love and His Mercy. Then demand whatever you wish. Obey Allah, and keep flying in the airs of His Mercy. Seat the despair that has gripped you these days upon a bus and despatch it to "Naraindar Moody." Fifty-nine crore of his fake gods could do him no good. O Allah, be kind to the Muslim Ummah!
