THE BAND OF SLAVERY REJECTED

Allah has put great efficacy in the Holy Quran because it is the most elevated and greatest book. It is the word of Almighty Allah. The Polytheists of who did not embrace Islam out of obstinacy used to listen to the Holy Quran secretly. Nazar bin Harrith, Utbah bin Rabi and Abu Jahl, all were very eloquent and magical speakers. When in the night, they would come and secretly listen to the Holy Quran, they would lose their wits. The swarms of Jinns were flying in the skies. When they listened to the Holy Quran they came down, listened to the Holy Quran and embraced Islam. Hazrat Umar came out of his house to blow out the light of Prophethood but listening to a few verses of the Holy Quran, embraced Islam and became Farooq-e-Azam. Afterwards, his state was that once someone recited the following verses before him!

No doubt, Allah's punishment is certainly going to occur. No one can put it off.

Hazrat Umer uttered a cry and fell unconscious. People took him to his house. He remained ill for a month out of Allah's fear. The military operation in Waziristan has started. When I listened to the BBC last evening, the soldiers were claiming to kill Taalibaan and Taalibaan were also claiming so. I did not like this. I am under agony and pain of the heart and my head is shaking. The shrewd cunning American Senator John Karry has come to Pakistan. He is the mischievous member of the Indian Lobby. He has deep friendship with our foreign minister. The deficiency that existed in ruining and devastating Pakistan is being fulfilled in the shape of "Kerry Logar Bill." The today's paper is full of pictures of dead bodies and raids at Religious Madaaris. The policemen were breaking in "Jaamia Mahmoodia" a known religious institution of Islamabad. Whenever we request the policemen to offer prayrs, they say that their clothes are unclean but when they were ordered to raid but they broke in the Mosques and Madaaris with shoes on. There were some disappointing and painful statements of the Inernal Minister. There were some columns also against the Kerry Logar Bill. Some other columns were to instigate the government to oppression even more. When I read Doctor Ayesha Siddiqa's column, I felt that she remembered neither her grave nor the Hereafter, nor she had concern for her Din nor her historical heritage. In this state of misery and sorrow, I have observed oblution and I have come to the "Shrine of Daata." O yes, in the company of Hazrat Sheikh Ali bin Usmaan Hajvari. The Lahorites call him "Daata" i.e. the one who gives. They have perhaps borrowed this word from the Hindu word "Devata." I have never had the chance to visit Hazrat Daata's tomb still I have deep intimacy with him. His book "Kashf-ul-Mahjoob" is lying with me. I keep company with him through this book. Today, I picked up "Kashf-ul-Mahjoob" in a state of utter misery. Not to speak of misery, I forgot myself after a sort while. Hazrat Daata is describing the excellences of reciting and listening to the Holy Quran. I was busy with studying them when I remembered that it was the time to compose "Rang-o-Noor." So, I have invited all of you to this sitting. The points that have been discussed about the Holy Quran in the beginning of the column are all present in his book. Now the misery and shock from upon my heart is lessening. In other words, Hazrat Daata has given me the indications that the solution to the problem is the Holy Quran. I clearly remember that about eight years ago, a slave of Allah gave an advertisement advising the Pakistani forces, "Recite deeply the Surah Al-Ahzab and Surah Al-Fath otherwise a painful torment is going to befall you." That advertisement was on the basis of a dream. Certainly, no one may have paid heeds to it. At that time, the military enjoyed great respect in Pakistan. I would often see the long caravans of the soldiers moving about peacefully with the soldiers sleeping in their trucks. If they had been granted with the capacity to get guidance from the Holy Quran, peace would have existed but only the lucky people get benefit from the Holy Quran. Is there anyone who may give Qurnaic teachings to the present day rulers? The cruel Britishers have given us the system of education that deprives us of the Holy Quran. For those who pay some attention to the Holy Quran there are veiled dacoits like doctor Javed Ghaamidi. The Holy Quran changes the state of the hearts in seconds and fills them with the resplendence of Allah's love. Hazrat Daata Hajvari says, "A saint says that once he was reciting the Holy Qurans.

"Fear the Day when you will be returned to Allah."

All of a sudden, a hidden voice warned him to recite it in low voice. Four Jinns had died due to the awe of that verse. Our rulers do not like to listen to the Holy Quran. Once, I said to the En-foreign Minister in a sitting, "Spare some times and I shall recite to you the verses on Jihaad. Then decide what should be your view about Jihaad." But he was not granted with the powers rather he came to even more bitter enmity. He would call those who possessed the knowledge of the Holy Quran as "The illiterate who teach just basic knowledge."

I said to another General, "What use of this life and posts if you do not know how to recite the Holy Quran and perceive its dictates?" He was affected to some extent and began to say, "I shall certainly study the Holy Qruan after retirement." A retired General was opposing the Waziristan operation on the BBC last night. Would that the in-service army chief had been granted with the capacity to get guidance from the Holy Quran! The injunctions about Kerry Logar Bill already exist in the Holy Quran, but what difference to the people who are to accept offerings at the shrines of the saints whether the country is slave or free. During the British rule, the Qawaalies at the shrines were free as today. There is also no restriction at the shrines in India even rather the Pagans wish the Muslims to desert the Holy Quran, resort to the shrines and prostate before the graves deserting Allah. The present day rulers of the country are the people who are neither affected by slavery nor by freedom. That's why; they say, "Those who oppose the Kerry Logar Bill are the stupid. We are going to get one hundred and fifty billion dollars per annum for nothing." Hazrat Hajveri says, "Allah has censured the people who do not listen to the Holy Quran as it should have been, i.e. they do not carry the words of the Holy Quran to the hearts." Allah says:

"Allah has sealed their hearts and ears and there is a veil upon their hearts."

Allah says that the people in hell will say on the Day of Judgement:

"If we had listened to the Holy Quran truly and had understood it, we would not have been among the dwellers of Hell."

There are also some people who apparently listen to the Holy Quran but there is a veil upon their hearts and deafness in their ears. So, they are not affected at all! Allah says:

"Some of them listen to you and We have put a veil upon their hearts so that they may not understand and there is some burden in their ears."

Those who favour the "Band of Slavery like Kerry Logar Bill" should write the will for their heirs, Dor ecite the Kerry Loagar Bill at our souls after our deaths." The recitation of the Holy Quran can benefit only those who believe in it.

A short while ago, I was reading the biography of the late Qari who used to recite the verses of the Holy Quran with their Urdu translation in the National Assembly before the speech of the president. He used to say, "The rulers were enraged at the recitation and translation of some verses and would say: These verses are very strict. Do recite some others instead."

Is there any cure for such perverted and deprived people! The Pakistanis cooperated much for Jihaad in Afghanistan against USSR. Owing to the blessings of this goodness, Allah blessed them with four blessings:

i. The Afghani Taalibaan (who were a strong defence of Pakistan), ii. Jihaad of Kashmir, iii. Atom Bomb, iv. Strong military.

The enemies decided to snatch away all these four things from Pakistan. The Taalibaan were attacked and their government was snatched away through Parvez Musharrif. Parvez Musharrif said in his speech, "We sided with America agaisnt Taalibaan to save our atomic assets and Jihaad of Kashmir." The first blessing was snatched away in this way and Afghanistan became the headquarters for our enemies. What need could India have to establish seventeen embassies in a ruined country? Then the hand of the enemies advanced to the Jihaad of Kashmir. Mr. Marvez Musharrif said, "What concern I have with Kashmir. Pakistan is sufficient for me." India was allowed to erect fences at the borders and there was a wide ranging crack down against the Jihaad Organizations. Now, the deciciosn has been made to end atomic assets of Pakistan through "Kerry Logar Bill." In order to end military, the condition has been levied in this bill to wipe out "Jihaad Culture" from Pakistan. When the military fights its own people, it will end up at last or weaken because no Muslim digests oppression.

In today's sitting, Hazrat Daata Hajveri is persuading us to the Holy Quran. We must recite the Holy Quran devoutly and pray for the stoppage of Waziristan operation and other such operations. It will certainly be granted due to the blessings of the Holy Quran. The Pakistan Army and local Taalibaan should get guidance from the Holy Quran, and enter into a peace treaty as before. All the Muslims should recite the Holy Quran daily. We must learn how to study the Holy Quran, understand it, get guidance form it and pray to Allah to grant us with the powers and capacity to act upon the Holy Quran; and include the supplication in our daily supplications; the supplication that is supplicated when recitation of the Holy Quran is completed. We, no doubt, need the Holy Quran:
